Ryan Mathews to the Chargers

The San Diego Chargers have traded up with the Miami Dolphins to select Fresno State running back Ryan Mathews at the 12th overall selection.

Mathews fills a major need for the Chargers at the running back position with the departure of LaDainian Tomlinson.  He is one of the few three-down running backs in the 2010 NFL Draft and should now be in consideration as the top rookie in fantasy drafts this summer.

Mathews will form an impressive running back tandem with the electric Darren Sproles in the San Diego backfield.
