Dexter McCluster to the Chiefs

Mississippi Rebels v LSU Tigers

The Kansas City Chiefs have made Dexter McCluster the 36th pick of the 2010 NFL Draft.

McCluster will be an all-purpose offensive weapon for the Chiefs and should provide added value as a return specialist.  McCluster is a smaller player (5’8” 172 lbs) that is electric with the football in his hands.

McCluster joins a crowed backfield in Kansas City with Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones.  Charles should continue to see the majority of the carries after his 2009 breakout season.  Thomas Jones is a veteran insurance policy with more value on the goal line.

McCluster will be an exciting player to watch and could be the Chiefs version of Kevin Faulk (Patriots).  McCluster is an intriguing dynasty option; however, his 2010 fantasy value will be limited.
