Sean Lee is now a member of the Dallas Cowboys after being selected with the 55th pick (round 2) in the 2010 NFL draft.
While Sean Lee is an exceptional prospect, the team took a risk with the selection due to a history of knee injuries during his tenure at Penn State. If the injury concerns were not present, Lee could have been a first rounder. If Lee can avoid injury, the Cowboys may have inherited the steal of the draft.
For what Lee lacks in size and speed, he makes up for with his incredible playmaking ability. He has the innate aptitude to always find the football whether it be a tackle, interception, forced fumble or fumble recovery.
While injuries have been a perpetual concern over the course of Lee’s career, he has been highly productive when healthy including a 138 tackle campaign in 2007.
Lee joins an already stout linebacker group that includes Pro Bowlers DeMarcus Ware and Keith Brooking. Brooking been impressed with the enthusiasm and determination Lee has brought to OTA’s. “Sean is intense, but the ability is there. He is very eager,” Brooking said. (Dallasnews.com)
Sean Lee is currently our 9th ranked rookie IDP overall. In our next ranking update, Lee will move up one spot at linebacker in front of Sergio Kindle.
Lee’s 2010 value largely depends on the health of Keith Brooking; however, Lee is an excellent option to begin looking at in the mid-third round of your rookie drafts this summer.

It’s going to be interesting to see how he transitions to the NFL.
You’re right, if he can stay injury-free, he could be dangerous.
